Saudi Arabia’s NWC has taken up the initiative to roll out 1,429 projects entailed to help with the matter of water distribution. The tenders have been awarded to companies that have shown to have the knowledge and technology to help in the matter of water distribution. The Shuaibah 3 IWPP is one such project that was developed by ACWA Power. The project runs power and desalination units that serve the cities of Jeddah, Makkah, Taif, and Al-Baha (Mammoser 2022).

Suez is an internal corporation that has dedicated its resources and personnel to achieving sustainable management of the world's resources (Alexander 2020). Suez has now become part of Veolia which is a strategic partner for Saudi Arabia's ecological transformation. Suez by being included in the described partnership is working to help Saudi Arabia with its water situation. Suez is intent on the continued use of its innovative products, processes, and solutions to help with the water issue challenging Saudi Arabia (Industrial Water & Process Treatment Technologies & Solutions | Veolia 2023). The company partaking in the initiative is keen to work from information that reflects the actual situation of the region by factoring in water needs across all sectors. Suez has been working in Jeddah to improve its access to drinking water. Most of the water supplied to Jeddah by the corporation has been sourced from desalination plants. The company in its action has improved on many aspects that are related to water distribution such as ensuring efficient response in repairing leakages (Alexander 2020).
