Global progress in achieving the sustainable development goals
The world progress on Clean Water & Healthy Life:
3rd SDG: Good Health & Well-Being
The progress report of 2022 shows
that there was progress in ensuring health concerning maternity and children.
This however is made inconsistent as regional disparities need to be addressed.
COVID-19 has been reported to have impacted negatively on universal health
progress.
6th SDG: Clean Water & Sanitation
According to the 2022 progress
report, it has been emphasized that the globe needs to increase four times its
efforts aimed at attaining drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene targets by
2030 since over the past 300 years, more than 85% of the earth's wetlands have
been lost. This is advised as it has been determined that continuity of
interventions at the same rate would render people all over the world lacking safely
managed drinking water, sanitation, and basic hygiene facilities.
